Terms of Use

Last updated October 23, 2026

These terms apply when you use CountUsDown (countusdown.com), which is operated by Nichesmith. By using the site, you agree to them.

Using CountUsDown

CountUsDown is free for personal and business use. You do not need an account. You can create, share, embed and display as many countdowns as you like.

What you put in a countdown

You are responsible for the names and messages you write. Do not use CountUsDown for anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or deceptive, to impersonate someone, or to infringe anyone's rights. We may remove countdowns that break these rules.

Links are visible to anyone who has them

Anyone with a countdown's link can view it. Do not put private information in a countdown's name or message.

Timing

We work to keep every clock in step, but timing depends on each device, its clock and its connection. Do not rely on CountUsDown where an exact time is critical, such as legal, financial, medical or safety deadlines.

Tips

Tips are optional and voluntary. They support CountUsDown in general and do not buy any feature, service or special treatment. A tip is not a charitable donation and is not tax-deductible. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Embedding

You may embed countdowns on your website with the code we provide. Please keep the CountUsDown link in the embed visible.

Advertising

CountUsDown shows ads from third parties. We are not responsible for advertisers' content, products or offers.

No warranty

CountUsDown is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. The service may change, pause or end, and stored countdowns are deleted 180 days after they end.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Nichesmith is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of CountUsDown, and our total liability for any claim is limited to US$100.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
